When we first stepped onto the property back in 2018 a quiet little corner—just a storage room and a maintenance office—stopped us in our tracks. Tucked away and almost forgotten, it held some of the best views on the grounds We knew right then: this space wasn’t meant for tools and boxes. It was meant for something more
As we started the construction, we began to uncover some interesting pieces of the property’s history. Old bathroom drains and vintage tile told us this wasn’t just a storage closet—it used to be part of a set of hotel rooms. Then came the real gem: brass numbers on a weathered brick wall—“245.” We did some digging (the old-school kind), and uncovered that in the late ‘50s or early ‘60s, this hidden corner was home to three or four guest rooms. And Room 245? That one likely had the best view in the house.
Room 245 was reborn—as a one-of-a-kind event space with a story, a view, and a nod to its storied past. The original brass numbers still rest on the brick wall, a quiet wink to the past for those lucky enough to step inside.
Tucked away inside Rocks 21, is Mystic’s best-kept secret — an intimate, private event space with a touch of historic charm.
